IRMS North is delighted to announce the programme for our Autumn Meeting, themed around GDPR.

As usual it's an opportunity for practitioners in the North of England to network with colleagues in the profession, to trade experiences and provide encouragement and support. Lunch and refreshments will be provided by event sponsors Iron Mountain.

Both IRMS members and non-members are welcome to attend.

Presentations will include:

  • The Data Protection Bill and other GDPR surprises - Tim Turner, 2040 Training
  • GDPR Implementation by a Local Authority - Scott Sammons, Essex County Council / Chair of IRMS
  • GDPR Implementation in [an other sector] - speaker availability TBC
  • GDPR Implementation by a Third Party Service Provider - Iron Mountain

There will be a full open members discussion during the meeting, aimed at identifying the main issues practitioners are facing with implementation led by Jan Gavin of NHS England and a Q&A with Tim Turner.

There'll also be an IRMS North Update with news on website and accreditation [Exec member TBC].

Anyone who can't attend this event please note there'll be another in Feb/March 2018 so venues/speakers gratefully received, ideally for an event in the NW region.
