9 April 2015 – Ireland Group meeting, Belfast
The IRMS Ireland group returned to Belfast recently for a meeting that looked at Data Quality Assurance in the Health service, a large scale digitisation project enhancing transparency and open government in the Library of the Oireachtas, the ARMA principles for records management and putting Information Governance on the corporate agenda, with an update also on the new General Data Protection Regulation currently being finalised in Europe.
In the afternoon there were presentations on Office 365 and Cloud Services from Microsoft as well as a demonstration from sponsor Equiniti ICS of their tool for quick and easy deployment of SharePoint sites. The meeting finished with a demonstration of RecordPoint, a tool which makes records management in SharePoint possible.
