14 September 2010 - London Group Meeting
The next meeting of the RMS London Group will be held in the evening of Tuesday 14 September, the theme of which is "digital continuity".
Digital continuity remains a vital topic for records managers. How to access electronic content created in the past and in the future is an issue which will continue to grow as the amount of electronic content increases. What issues surround the access of "old" electronic information, and how can we help manage this going forwards?
For our 14 September meeting we will be joined by a member of the Digital Continuity Team at The National Archives to talk about this issue, along with Martin Tucker, Head of Corporate Records at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, who will talk about the FCO's long running archive system and the challenges they have faced in maintaining an older database.
The event is hosted by British Land and will be held at their offices at York House, 45 Seymour Street, London, W1H 7LX. The nearest tube station is Marble Arch. Further directions are available here: http://www.britishland.com/contactus/howtofindus
Sandwiches, tea and coffee will be available from 5.30pm; the meeting starts at 6.30pm and finishes at 8pm.
