Records Management and Data Protection are completely intertwined. Many of the basic principles of records management are a perfect match for the 8 Data Protection principles. This presentation shows how poor RM has led to significant breaches of Data Protection (and large monetary penalties), and also demonstrates how an effective RM framework will help to achieve compliance with the upcoming revised Data Protection Regulation.
