9 June 2016 - Promoting Effective Information Management
Following a very successful even last month in Glasgow, we're pleased to launch our next event, which is the final part of our 2015-15 season!
It will be held on Thursday 09 June 2016 in the Town and County Hall at the Town House in Aberdeen, and the theme is Promoting Effective Information Management.
We’ll be joined by image consultant Edith Adam of Visual Impact, who will be holding an interactive workshop on ‘rebranding the records manager’. This promises to be a fascinating session as Edith is well-known in the IRM sector and is a previous Chair of IRMS Scotland.
This will be supplemented by:
- A speed networking session – back by popular demand after we ran this in Glasgow!
- A series of 10-minute lightning talks on engaging the business to deliver improved IRM, with speakers including:
o SharePoint and IM consultant Maria Lim
o experienced information manager Diana Watt
o IRMS Communications Officer Joe Chapman
- A review of the IRMS Conference, held in Brighton in May*
We’d like to thank Aberdeen City Council for providing the venue. A sponsor will be confirmed shortly and they will also be giving a short presentation on the day.
Tickets for the event are available now via Eventbrite - http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/promoting-effective-information-and-records-management-tickets-24851452363. These are open to all but preference will be given to IRMS members.
Please note, we still have 1 or 2 slots available for lightning talks, so if you have experience (good or bad!) of this topic that you’d like to share, please reply to this email.
The event will start at 10:30am (to allow sufficient time for travel from the central belt) and will finish at around 4:00pm.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The Society offers four types of membership, from Corporate through to Student.
