The interactive hub of the information world

Attention all members – the IRMS is recruiting!

As we look towards 2017 and beyond, our three main priorities are: to maximise the effectiveness of our marketing so that we can continue to attract new members in a difficult economic climate; to provide the best possible support to our Groups, whose many popular events are a core part of our activities; and to make better use of our statistical data, so we can improve the range of benefits you enjoy as part of your membership.

For those reasons we are now recruiting for the following positions:

  • Marketing Director
  • Groups Officer
  • Data Officer

The Marketing Director will lead on the design and delivery of targeted campaigns to boost the Society’s individual and corporate membership across the public, private and third sectors. The Groups Officer will support the day-to-day running of the Groups and also our pool of volunteers – those members who have expressed an interest in getting more involved with our work. The Data Officer will play a key role in improving and analysing our membership data which will support the IRMS in its various initiatives and projects.

More information about each role, including the Job Description, can be found on the Vacancies page: All of these positions are now open for applications, and will close on Friday 09 December 2016. To apply, please email a copy of your CV to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Whatever your level of information management experience or academic attainment, if you’re an IRMS member, meet the criteria and have the time and enthusiasm to volunteer with us, we’d be delighted to hear from you, so please do consider applying for one or more of these positions.
