Records Retention Wiki
Our popular retention wiki is a collaborative records management resource developed by practitioners, for practitioners. The wiki provides a community-editable platform that will allow the profession to develop an ongoing consensus on rules (periods, triggers, disposition actions and reasons) for different record series and share updates on legislative implications in a dynamic and sustainable way - so please use and contribute where you can.
Records Management Toolkit for Schools
This Toolkit, developed by a team led by Elizabeth Barber of Kent County Council and the IRMS Public Sector group, is an invaluable source of support and guidance for those managing records in the education sector. And it continues to grow, with new modules being added all the time, including academies and independent schools. Members can enjoy a fully customisable Word version in addition to the standard PDF edition.
Salary Survey results (members only)
We're delighted to support the Sue Hill & TFPL annual Salary Survey. The survey was established in 2014 and is already the authoritative source of data about the employment market in the knowledge and information management sector, including average pay, key skills required, and routes into the profession. The most recent survey was the most comprehensive yet, and IRMS members can access the results via the link above.
