The overall conference theme is "Springboard", for the profession to move forward, embrace other disciplines and make the transition from records management to information management... and for the professionals to be ready for it.

It is now time to widen the scope of our profession and keep abreast with the changes and influences in the workplace, Whilst retaining records management at the heart of the Conference, we will explore other disciplines, how they impact on our profession, what opportunities exist to work better together and understand each other more. Far from dismissing the traditional tools we use, we will challenge their relevance against the e-tide and the development of technologies.

Springboard will also look at how, as information and records managers, we have to develop ourselves and be ready to face the demands of an increasingly complex role.

The purpose of the Conference is very much to impart our experiences and get inspired by what our international vibrant community is doing. Sharing knowledge and lessons learnt from our successes or indeed our misfortunes continue to give the Conference its true significance. With delegates from private and public sectors and the supplier community, from the four corners of the globe, this is the perfect platform to generate debate and address challenges.

Springboard will put a spring in your step and give you the impetus and drive to excel in your professional role and beyond!
