The Scottish Archives have launched the Records and Information Management Scotland knowledge hub - an online community to support anyone with an interest in this key discipline - from those working in the field to those who just want to improve how they manage the information and records they need to do their job.
The group has a Scottish bias, but members are welcome from all locations. Main features include forums, wikis and events - some of these have already been set up but to be of real enduring benefit to all, the group must be community driven.
The group is open to all but before joining, you must have registered with the Knowledge Hub - a secure, web based collaboration platform for professionals working in and around local government - although the group covers all public sectors and their partners.
The Society offers four types of membership, from Corporate through to Student.
If you are not already a member and would like to join the Society, or if you know anyone who would be interested in joining, please complete the application form.
