Our IT department are still mulling over the issue. Our staff are recieving invites to zoom meetings with private sector suppliers etc so I suspect resistance may be ultimately futile unless we can somehow open up MS Teams to .... outsiders. *shivers* Edit: (the next day) Just installing some security updates from our software centre and it looks like Zoom has been approved as the app is there waiting to be installed. Not especially happy about that so i won't install it unles I have to...

Zoom has been super useful in some circumstances and I'm trying to be positive and assume they aren't really the devil that Facebook is. So at least it's not Whatsapp video calls but equally they didn't do the stuff they should have done at the beginning.

Apparently we have a compromise Zoom. It's isn't the full fat package and only allows us to join meetings hosted by other people but we can't host meetings ourselves. I am happy with compromise Zoom.
