Renewing Your Membership
Membership Renewals Made Simple
IRMS operates a rolling membership, so your renewal date is based on when you joined. You can pay annually, quarterly, or monthly.
How it works
Annual Subscription (Auto-Renew)
- Reminder sent 40 days before renewal
- No action needed unless your card details have changed
- Second reminder sent 7 days before renewal
Annual Subscription (Bank Transfer)
- Reminder sent 40 days before renewal
- Log in → Account tab → click Renew / Upgrade / Update
- Confirm details or select a new payment method →click Save and Continue
- Missed renewal? A second reminder arrives 7 days before
Quarterly Subscription
- Auto-renews every quarter
- Reminder sent 10 days before payment
Monthly Subscription
- Auto-renews monthly (no reminders)
- Cancel anytime
- Access ends the day after your next payment would have been taken
Managing Your Membership
Cancel Anytime
- Log in → Account tab → click Renew / Upgrade / Update →click Cancel
- Cancellation takes effect from your next renewal date
- No refunds for unused time
Upgrade or Downgrade
- Change membership type or payment method via Account tab
- Changes apply after your current term ends (or immediately for student/affiliate upgrades)
- Moving to a Corporate account? Contact info@irms.org.uk
Payment Options
- Credit/Debit Card (recommended) – processed securely via Stripe
- Bank Transfer – request invoice and include invoice number as reference
- Direct Debit – being phased out; we’ll contact you about alternatives
If Your Membership Lapses
- Access suspended 30 days after renewal date
- Cancelled memberships lose access within 7 days of renewal date
