IRMS Announces Membership Fee Update Following June Board Meeting

The Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) is announcing an update to membership fees, agreed at the June 2025 Board meeting. The new fees became effective with the launch of the new IRMS website on 15th December 2025.

This decision was made in accordance with Article 12 of the IRMS Articles of Association, which empowers the Directors to set and revise membership subscriptions as required. Under the Articles, the Board is not required to give prior notice of any increases in fees; however, we are committed to transparency and normally aim to provide members with at least 30 days’ notice of any changes.

Due to all the excitement and focus on building and launching the new website, the usual notice period unfortunately slipped through the cracks this time. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

  • Expanded Professional Development: Continued investment in webinars, training sessions, and conferences to support your career growth.
  • Exclusive Member Resources: Access to updated toolkits, guides, and best practice documents tailored to the latest developments in information and records management.
  • Networking Opportunities: More events and forums to connect with peers, share knowledge, and collaborate across the profession.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Ongoing work to promote the value of information and records management within organisations and at a national level.

No Ad Hoc Registration Fees

We would also like to reassure members that, as has been our practice, IRMS continues not to charge any ad hoc registration fees for new or returning members. The only fees payable are the annual subscription amounts listed above.

If you have any questions regarding your membership or the updated fees, please contact the IRMS office at info@irms.org.uk.

Thank you for your continued support of the IRMS and our professional community.
