Welcome to the New IRMS Website and Member Platform

Why We Have Changed and What You Can Expect

Discover the benefits of our new platform and start experiencing them today.

The Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) is delighted to introduce our enhanced member platform, created to better support your professional journey and strengthen our vibrant community. Inspired by your insights and the evolving needs of our members and guests, we have made significant improvements to deliver a truly outstanding experience for everyone engaging with IRMS.

Why Have We Changed?

Our motivation for upgrading the platform springs from a commitment to provide the very best tools, connections, and resources for our members and guests. By embracing your suggestions and identifying opportunities for growth, we have developed a more interactive, accessible, and supportive environment. Our ambition is to empower professionals in information and records management to easily connect, collaborate, and grow their skills.

What Are the Benefits?

  • Comprehensive Member Directory: Effortlessly search for individuals or organisations, filter by location or group, and explore our community using an interactive map. Detailed profiles and direct messaging make professional networking simpler and more effective.
  • Stay Informed: The Events Calendar provides updates on upcoming IRMS activities, many of which are open to the public, enabling non-members to get involved and experience the benefits of membership.
  • Access to Extensive Professional Support: Members benefit from both the Professional Development and Resources Library, offering a wealth of tools, guidance, and learning opportunities to advance your career. Non-members are also invited to browse selected materials, giving a glimpse of the full value of joining IRMS and unlocking the complete range of resources.
  • Enhanced Support: Improved feedback channels allow us to continually evolve our platform in response to your needs, ensuring that everyone benefits from these changes.

Important Things to Note

  • Content Migration: We are aware that not all content has been fully migrated. If you notice missing items, please let us know.
  • Testing: The website has been extensively tested, but there may be things we missed. Your feedback is invaluable.
  • Member Data: Migration of member data has been completed, but please check your profile when you log in. We have preserved some of your information in the profile description box.
  • Passwords: For security reasons, passwords could not be migrated. Please use the sign-in option (your username is your email address) and request a new password. This will be sent to your email. Once logged in, please change it to something secure and memorable.
  • Report Issues: If you find anything we need to fix, add, or change, use the contact form or email info@irms.org.uk.

We invite you to explore, participate, and discover how the new IRMS platform can help you thrive. Together, we are building a dynamic hub for professionals—ready for you today.
