The IRMS Awards Panel

The IRMS awards are overseen by a panel of five volunteers from the IRMS Leadership Team. These volunteers, led by the Panel's Chair, oversee the Awards process and criteria. Where an award is decided by an awards panel they will act as that panel and where there is a tie in a public vote they will have the casting vote. 

The Panel, as a Sub-Committee of the IRMS, has a Terms of Reference and is overseen by the IRMS Executive. As these are industry awards, you can appreciate the need for an 'arms length' approach from the Executive to deciding awards winners ensuring they are fair, transparent and beyond reproach.

  • Declared Interests = IRMS Communications Officer; Self-employed at Proffitt From Records Management Ltd.
• Ben MacCorquodale
  • Declared Interests = Employee of Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
• Sarah Clarke
  • Declared Interests = Member of the IRMS Accreditation Sub-Committee; Employed by UK Government.
    

• Jaana Pinnick
  
  • Declared Interests = Chair of the IRMS; Employee of British Geological Survey (UKRI); Corporate Member of the Digital Preservation Coalition; Individual Member of the Research Data Alliance

The Digital Decarbonisation in Action Award will be decided by members of the Loughborough University Business School and the chair of the Awards Panel.

When deciding the Alison North New Professional Award, a recommendation is made to the panel by our Awards Panel Chair and the sponsor of the award, Scott Sammons of Lighthouse IG.
