We’ll hear experiences from two highly esteemed speakers, Harold and Maria (bios below) followed by an online overview and discussion led by IRMS Membership Director Katharine Stevenson on what ‘equality, diversity and inclusion’ looks and feels like for us all.

Harold Brako
Harold is a finance litigation and disputes partner at international law firm Addleshaw Goddard.
He specialises in banking and finance litigation, with particular expertise in asset based lending and receivables financing. He provides advice to a wide range of clients in the finance sector, including members of UK Finance (the collective voice for the banking and finance industry) as well as the major UK clearing banks.
Harold is an experienced litigator, advising clients in relation to all aspects of dispute resolution including claims for and against lenders, fraud claims and asset recovery involving urgent injunctive processes, contractual / commercial disputes, reviews and enforcement of security and insolvency proceedings.
Following 10 years at DLA Piper UK LLP, in 2009 he founded and headed up the Manchester office of Shoosmiths LLP. He joined Addleshaw Goddard LLP in 2017.

Maria Lim
Maria Concesa Lim is the current IRMS Scotland Chair and an Expert Level Technology Consultant and Information Architect with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
Maria is originally from Manila, Philippines, she has a Bachelors Degree in Library Science - Information Management from the University of the Philippines, a Masters in Business Administration from De La Salle University and a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Management from IATA in Switzerland.
The mix of her cultural, ethnicity & work experience, along with her hard work and determination in developing her skill set and education has led to an international career filled with diversity, challenges and successes.
As they say - you can't choose where you start but you can determine with drive, ambition and hard work where you finish!
