Be our new Communications Officer
Would you like to join our dynamic and diverse Leadership Team? Are you interested in supporting the work of the IRMS and the development of the information management profession? And do you know a thing or two about what makes good communications?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you, as we are now seeking to recruit a new Communications Officer, who will be responsible for co-ordinating our various comms activities including via email, web, print and social media.
No direct experience is required but applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of different communication methods and familiarity with social media and writing for the web. You must be (or become) a member of the IRMS and will need the capacity and flexibility to fulfil duties on a regular basis, sometimes at short notice.
Communications is one of our three priority work streams, which makes this a key role within the Leadership Team at an exciting time for the Society and the whole profession, offering valuable experience and an excellent opportunity for professional development.
For more information, take a look at the job specification. To apply, send your CV and a brief covering statement to marketing@irms.org.uk by Sunday 9th July. All valid applicants will be invited to an informal telephone interview at a date and time to be arranged.
We look forward to hearing from you!
