Full programme unveiled for IRMS Conference 2019

Three days of unmissable learning and networking at Celtic Manor

Look who's talking... the IRMS has published the full programme for the next annual Conference, taking place at Celtic Manor on 19-21 May 2019.

We're delighted to announce that our opening keynote speaker will be Mike Woodbridge, Senior Director Analyst at Gartner. Mike is a Research Director within Gartner's Digital Workplace, Content & Insights group and was part of the team that developed the evolutionary concept of Content Services.

Mike is joined in our Monday keynote line-up by Malcolm Todd, Head of Policy at The National Archives, and Marlize Palmer, the Welsh Government's Departmental Records Officer, Chief Librarian and Head of Knowledge and Information Management.

On the Tuesday we welcome Daragh O Brien and Katherine O'Keefe, co-authors of a new book, Ethical Data and Information Management, and by Adam Joinson, Professor of Information Systems at the University of Bath.

These excellent speakers will be joined at the conference by more than 50 others from across the public and private sectors as, one year on from GDPR coming into force, we focus on trust, truth and transparency. Chair of the IRMS, Scott Sammons, comments on the theme for the conference: “Good information and records management plays a key role in promoting trust in an organisation. At the conference we will examine how we as an industry approach, build and maintain trust. Does it mean following the letter of the law, or going further and applying the right principles and ethics?”
