Roger Poole our PSCD Director is currently representing the membership on two British Standards Institution (BSI) working groups:
1/ BS10008 - Legal Admissibility(IDT/001/0-/05) - this is a full review of the British Standard for Legal Admissibility. There have been a number of meetings to date and the final draft will go out for public feedback. The timeframes for the revision of this British Standard are as follows:
Drafting+ editing: November 2018 – August 2019
Public consultation: November – December 2019
Comment resolution: Jan – Feb 2020
Publish: May 2020
Roger will endeavour to update you when the Public Consultation Period commences in order that you may provide your feedback.
2/ Archives and Records Management(IDT/2/17) - Records Management standards and challenges. Also discusses any forthcoming meetings/co-ordination with relevant ISO committees and working groups. Further information/updates will be provided in due course.
With a bi-monthly magazine, annual conference, accreditation possibilities and a competitively priced annual membership, there really is no reason why you shouldn't join this fantastic society!
