Announcing the IRMS Award Winners 2023!

We’re delighted to announce the winners of the IRMS Awards 2023, recognising excellence, innovation and dedication to the sector. The awards were presented on Monday 15th May at a Gala Dinner, held during the annual IRMS Conference in Manchester. Eight prestigious awards were presented along with Fellowships to four eminent information professionals.

The winners of the IRMS 2023 Awards are:

• Professional of the Year – Natali Higgins
• Team of the Year - Information Governance Team, Wellcome Trust
• Supplier of the Year – Oyster IMS
• Innovation of the Year – Digital Knowledge and Information Management Team, Cabinet Office
• Bulletin Author of the Year – Rob Bath
• Alison North Award for New Professionals – Payton Kufeldt

In addition, we awarded the IRMS Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr Paul Duller in recognition of a career spanning more than 3 decades across more than 30 countries as well as his long service to the profession including on the IRMS Executive Team, as Co-Editor of the IRMS Bulletin and as a Tutor and Honorary Teaching Fellow at the University of Dundee.

We also presented Special Recognition Awards to Claire Archibald, Elizabeth Barber and Keith Batchelor for their fantastic work on the Schools Toolkit.

Finally, we awarded four prestigious Fellowships to Jaana Pinnick, Liz Robinson, Mark Camilletti and Vicki Wilkinson. IRMS Fellowships are bestowed upon those with more than 10 years’ experience in the sector and who have, in the opinion of their peers, attained appropriate eminence, authority or seniority in the field.
