Marketing, just like our profession of Records Management, is a practice and skill all of its own.
To date we have relied on the skills and experience of some of our volunteers to run our marketing and comms work with some mixedsuccess. While we greatly appreciatethe work of our marketing and comms volunteers, we all accept that this is an area where we need specialised input from dedicated marketing professionals to achieve our ambitions.
Just as someone would come to a Records Manager for Records Management advice and support, it’s time we did the same for Marketing and Comms advice and support.
With that in mind we have created this Request ForProposal (RFP) for marketing and comms providers tosubmit costings and proposals for how they might support us in achieving our goals.
The RFP outlines our background, what we want to achieve, and the sort of things a marketing support company would need to know to get to know us and create a proposal accordingly.
We have reached out to a few firms directly, however if you know of anyone that might be interested in putting in a proposal, please share this news item with them and the link to the RFP above. All replies should be received by our General Manager by the 14th February 2024.
Once we have some proposals in and an idea of the cost commitment, we willthen submit the business case to the Board and see if it's something we can invest budget and resources to.
If you have any queries, please send them to generalmanager@irms.org.ukas our General Manager, Jonathan, is coordinating responses on behalf of the marketing and comms working group.
